Thank you to all the families that have already signed up for conferences. To make the best of our 15 minutes, we would like to invite you to fill out this brief questionnaire. Students will received a copy to take home, but you are more than welcome to download and print one here.
This message is to give you an update on the homework expectations for the remainder of the year.
Students will be assigned one set of questions via TenMarks on Monday. Questions must be completed before school on Friday.
Students will receive a “Show What You Know” page on Wednesday nights due Thursday. They need to show someone at home how to complete three questions. The “audience” is asked to sign the paper and they have the option to write a comment/note.
There will be some longer term math projects assigned. The website will have a link to the directions page.
I am available for homework help most mornings before school. If your child would like to stop in, please encourage them to do so.
This Thursday 5th grade students will begin library checkout! They are invited to head down to the library as soon as they arrive to school, 7:35 a.m. - 7:55 a.m. Volunteers will be there to help them find a great book and get it checked out!
NB Dad Peter Carter will be holding a "fun"draiser to benefit the 5th grade activities and needs some helpers! We need 12 fifth grade leaders to help with set-up, the activity and clean-up. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if your 5th grader is interested and available!
In an effort to build confidence and prepare students for the upcoming math MCAS test, there will be a change to the homework routine. Students will be given two separate ten question TenMarks assignments.
1. The first will be assigned on Monday and due on Wednesday.
2. The second will be assigned on Wednesday and due on Friday.
There will be no Show What You Know.
All assignments will be concepts previously covered this year.
